The Center for the Transformation of Chemistry (CTC) is at the forefront of integrating cutting-edge chemistry with real life applications. Divided into 5 thematic areas; Automation & Standardization, Data-driven Chemistry, Recycling, Renewable Feedstocks, and Societal-Environmental-Economic Metrics, the CTC seeks to play a critical role in the green transformation. In line with these ambitions, we are launching a research project aiming to replace plastics using 3D-shaped wood fiber materials. The project will leverage industrial technologies from the area of molded fiber to create paper-based, 3-dimensional objects for packaging as well as light-structural applications. Together with industrial partners, we will ensure that the materials meet recycling and biodegradability standards. To accomplish these goals, we are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) to join the project. The project will be carried out at the MPIKG campus in Golm, Potsdam, with prolongation perspectives in the CTC interim labs in Leuna.
