Are you passionate about shaping the next generation of interdisciplinary scientists and fostering educational excellence? Join our dynamic and forward-thinking team at the Center for the Transformation of Chemistry (CTC), a newly established research center with secured funding until 2038. As an Education Program Coordinator (m/f/d), you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing a comprehensive, world-renowned education program for the CTC through the foundation of an Academy for Chemical Transformations (ACT). The goal of ACT is to work with local educational institutions to supplement and augment existing educational offers with research-near, entrepreneurial as well as hands-on experience along the full spectrum of professional qualifications from vocational training, doctoral studies to school-age students and their teachers. The team developing ACT will be located approx. 30 min from Leipzig and Halle (Saale) in Leuna.

Your tasks and qualifications

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct an in-depth analysis of local, regional, and national vocational and academic education offerings related to the CTC's thematic areas: Automation & Standardization, AI & Chemistry, Recycling, Renewable Feedstocks, and Economy-Society-Acceptance Metrics.
  • Identify standards for qualification and benchmarking of interdisciplinary educational programs, collaborating closely with regional technical colleges and universities.
  • Establish a network with regional training providers and schools to support chemistry education at all levels
  • Developing a concept for continuing education in cooperation with training providers to educate skilled workers with necessary competencies, especially research relevant laboratory experience.
  • Develop and implement pilot educational offerings to supplement existing curricula and educational programs, ensuring they meet the highest standards of excellence.
  • Foster collaboration with academic institutions to establish a comprehensive education environment to form the foundation of a world-renown talent pool.

Your Profile

  • Minimum MSc. in Didactics, Education, Chemistry, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field. A Doctorate is highly desired.
  • Strong background and expertise in teaching, developing and implementing educational courses.
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary approaches and standards in vocational and academic education.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with researchers, teachers and other academic stakeholders.
